Plaid Bunny

This week we learned about complimentary colors which included: red and green, blue and orange, and purple and yellow. We were then taught about plaid and how to create it using vertical and horizontal lines and using different colors. We were then split into three groups and each group had a different set of complimentary colors. As you can see from my bunny, I was at the blue and orange table. We used different paint brushes to create different widths of lines. After the paint was dry we used cut outs to glue the bunny together.

An extension activity could be in math, having the students learn about vertical and horizontal lines. They could also measure each line. And talk about the differences between thick and thin lines.
